Message From Crouch End Safer Neighbourhood Police team

The following is a rather reassuring message received via OWL from PC Tyler Fendick, a member of the Crouch End Safer Neighbourhood Police team. (OWL is a secure platform for the public and shared with the police and local authority to maximise the potential of Neighbourhood Watch, Rural Watch, Business Watch and dozens of other schemes. OWL sends you the latest local crime alerts and provides management tools for maintaining and expanding watches.)

Ongoing patrols

Dear Watch Member,

As I’m sure you’re all aware, the tragic loss of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has taken it’s toll on everybody in different ways, and we will all be dealing with her loss for the foreseeable future.

I want to inform all residents of Crouch End, our Community Watch, Ward panel and Neighbourhood Watch that, although we are involved in the significant policing operation ongoing within Central London we are still conducting patrols of our ward.

Yesterday we had officers conducting patrols in the area of The Broadway N8, focusing on distraction thefts and Anti-Social Behaviour coming from this area. When speaking to businesses a suspect was spotted and engaged with by ourselves. It was deemed necessary to arrest this male for offences.

I hope this shows that, although we may not always be visible, we are always around trying to disrupt any criminality and reassure residents.

Regards,
Tyler Fendick
Police Constable
