Safer Neighbourhood Police

PCSO Lucia Popovici, Designated Ward Officer – Crouch End, has also let us know that as part of the violence against women and girls (VAWG) action plan they’re rolling the Walk and Talk initiative across the Met. An important part of their approach is to invite women and girls to tell them what they think needs to change and to keep talking to them about what more they can do to improve their safety in London. The initiative involves female officers buddying up with women from their communities to go out on patrol in open spaces so that they can hear first-hand their experiences, concerns and reflections. The aim of the walkabout is to start a conversation between the public and officers about their safety concerns and what police can do, working with partners, to address them.

The Safer Neighbourhood Police are having their quarterly Ward Panel meeting on 8 July. Weunable to attend but do please let us know if you have any concerns to discuss and they will be forwared to Lucia.
