You may already have received a communication from the Council about proposed changes to residents parking permits, but if not you can find details on proposed parking policy changes here>>. This is a formal consultation that runs until 20th November.
Key Points Of Proposed Parking Policy Changes
Some of the main points include:
- A significant increase (15% on average) in the cost of an annual parking permit, with a surcharge for owners of large vehicles (>4m)
- The introduction of fees for using an electric vehicle charging point
- A limit on visitor permits (1hr) of 40 per year
- A charge of £25 for submitting an incorrect permit application
We will be discussing this at our next committee meeting on 11th November with a view to formulating a GMTRA response, so do let us have some feedback (contact@gmtra.org.uk) so that we can gauge residents’ opinions.
Do also submit your own comments to the council directly traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk and feel free to copy GMTRA if you wish (contact@gmtra.org.uk).
