Following our recent letter to UK Power Networks about the local disruption being caused by the roadworks on Glasslyn Road, we have received the following response .

Good Afternoon, Mr Jackson
Thank you for your letter and I am sorry to hear about the disruption our works are causing. In answer to your questions;
- The current timescale for completion of the works is in 3 weeks when it will be reinstated and the road re-opened, if I hear of any change to this I will let you know.
- There have been 3 separate faults in this incident, including 1 in Roseberry Gardens. The cables are high voltage oil filled cables which require a specialist team to repair them.
- The tree will of course be replaced and we have been asked to also plant some more.
